In Toronto there's a lot of events and festivals over the summer. Living here I'm lucky enough to experience a lot of them and the recent Caribana was definitely the most interesting in terms of it's take over of the city. During the event the city seemed to just get crazy. The festival is a celebration of the Carribean culture and brings a lot of partying, parades of people dancing in festive outfits and... well... endless amounts of obnoxious rap and, sadly, violence. Over the weekends there were a three shootings and a stabbing.
Living on Yonge St. I was entertained by the endless amounts of 'pimped out' cars with ground shaking bass and streets filled with people. Of coarse seeing these things is going to make me want to take photos - here's the photos I managed to get within a two block radius of my place.
I encourage you to take more than a second at each photo - you'll see more.
